commonwealthA Star won this prestigious client following a five-way pitch against some global PR heavyweights. With over 200 separate events involving performers from 72 Commonwealth nations, spanning every possible art form, the five-month Cultureshock event was the largest entertainment showcase the UK has seen in this generation. Participants in the event included Cherie Blair, Sir Trevor McDonald, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Andrew Motion (Poet Laureate), Courtney Pine, Evelyn Glennie, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Nitin Sawhney, Talvin Singh, Shekar Kapur (Oscar-nominated director of films Elizabeth, Bandit Queen etc), and Michael Nyman. Over the five-month project A Star achieved more than 250 separate pieces of coverage, with an audience reach of 393 million.
