Amy Dickson
Internationally acclaimed Saxophonist, Amy Dickson, announces the release of her stunning new album early next year!
Recently signing to Sony Music in exclusive contract and A Star PR with a global management deal, Amy Dickson is swiftly establishing herself as one of the world’s leading saxophonists. Truly remarkable within her field, Dickson is a modern music ambassador and highly talented advocate of this diverse instrument, leading the way as the ‘new kid on the block’. Described by New York Concert Review as “a revelation”, her unique style is gaining her much-deserved attention around the world.
Dickson’s debut album, Smile, was released on the RCA Red Seal Label in 2008, to great critical acclaim. Her latest release reveals a new side to her playing, exploring the endless possibilities of the saxophone and enriching its blossoming repertoire through collaborations with some of the world’s greatest living contemporary composers. The album features soprano Saxophone transcriptions of the Violin Concerto by Philip Glass, The Protecting Veil by John Tavener, alongside Where the Bee Dances by Michael Nyman. Recorded at London’s Cadogan Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and directed by Mikel Toms, it’s an un-missable offering that’s set to alter the perception of the Saxophone and present it as a virtuosic instrument, lighting up the international concert platform.
Dickson’s musical career began at the age of 7, with her debut concerto performance taking place at the tender age of 16. Numerous International awards followed, including the James Fairfax Australian Young Artist of the Year and the Prince’s Prize. Dickson later became the first ever Saxophonist to win the Gold Medal in the prestigious Royal Overseas League Competition and the Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year.
Still only in her mid-twenties, Sydney-born Dickson is achieving global recognition for her distinctive style of playing; with her striking phrasing, range of colourful tone and a maturity that belies her youthful years. Already a trailblazer across the Classical music world and beyond, Amy Dickson is not a name you’ll be forgetting in a hurry.
Endellion String Quartet
The critically acclaimed British ensemble, The Endellion String Quartet, celebrate their 30th anniversary with the release of a spectacular 10 CD Box Set of new recordings of Beethoven String Quartets and String Quintets, and all quartet and quintet fragments with Warner Classics and Jazz. The release also coincides with the 800th anniversary of Cambridge University, where they have been quartet in residence since 1992, and therefore form a key part in the quartet’s celebrations as musical ambassador for the university. Jose Carreras
Jose Carreras has performed in over 60 operas, including a number of operatic films, and his extensive discography stretches to over 150 recordings. ‘The José Carreras Collection’ out on Warner Classics and Jazz is a celebration of his Lifetime Achievement Award, won at 2009’s Classical Brits. A Star PR successfully implemented a global campaign to publicise the album.
Jose Serebrier
2009 marked José Serebrier’s 37 Grammy nomination with the release of Glazunov’s 6th Symphony. Warner Classics and Jazz have teamed Maestro Serebrier up with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra again to record the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and unfinished 9th Glazunov symphony to complete the symphonic cycle.
Previous Glazunov titles with WCJ and Serebrier have added to his list of Grammy nominations, with the previous recording (Symphony No.6) receiving a nomination in the ‘Best Orchestral Performance’ category. A Star PR have continued with a highly successful PR campaign to publicise the final disc in this unique collection.
Dexter OST
Dexter Morgan (played by Michael C. Hall), Miami Metro Police Department blood splatter analyst, leads a double life. When he is not working Homicide Division solving murders, he spends his time hunting and killing bad guys who slip through the justice system. His sister, Debra, a Vice Squad officer, pulls Dexter into her world when a series of prostitutes are being murdered around Miami.
The soundtrack includes the series’ brilliant title theme, nominated for a Best TV Theme Song at the Emmy Awards and features songs by the likes of Andy Williams, Beny Moré, Ray Armando, and Michael C. Hall himself, as well as score selections by Daniel Licht. Its Latin sound, straight out of Miami, gives it a unique feel.
Michael Kamen
Michael Kamen had an impressive résumé both as conductor and composer and was renowned for his synthesis of 
pop, rock, jazz, world and symphonic music developing orchestral settings with such diverse stars as Luciano Pavarotti, Metallica, Eric Clapton, The Eurythmics, Bob Dylan, Des’ree and Sting.
One of the world’s leading film composers, he wrote scores for over 75 feature films including Highlander, Lethal Weapon, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, 101 Dalmatians, Mr Holland’s Opus and X-Men.
No stranger to international events, Michael composed and conducted the music for opening and closing ceremonies at the Atlanta and Salt Lake City Olympics. Michael’s first symphony, New Moon in the Old Moon’s Arms, was commissioned by the National Symphony Orchestra and performed in January 2000.He composed the score for the highly acclaimed mini-series, Band of Brothers, directed by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. His work garnered him four Grammy’s and nominations for three Oscars, two Golden Globes, and an Emmy.

FILMTALES, debut album from Paul Leonard Morgan has scant regard for traditional genre confinements. The Royal Albert Hall – Carmen

To commemorate 30 years since the death of the legendary Elvis Presley, Warner Classics and Jazz have released Symphonic Elvis, a collection of Elvis’s greatest hits transformed into 12 fantastic orchestral arrangements, featuring guest performances from Elvis’s former band members.
